Through my research into a possible film distribution for our project I found a variety of suitable companies that would be ideal for the type of film we wish to produce and the limitations in which a low budget could bring. 'Brain Damage films' and 'Bloody Earth Films' were just a few of the considered distribution companies. I felt that these were suitable film distribution companies as their main focus of distribution is low budget horror productions, which is exactly what our project will be. These distribution companies could also be very beneficial as although they distribute independent films they are able to distribute products to a much larger audience, both local and not.
Brain Damage Films:
This company was established in 2001 and has been one of the most successful independent horror film distributors since it was established. They are able to produce both DVD's and videos on demand, which would be highly beneficial for our project. Website: http://braindamagefilms.com/about/
Bloody Earth Films:
This distribution is one of three of the daughter companies to 'Camp Motion Pictures'. Of the three, this is the distribution company that focuses primarily on the horror genre, specifically independent productions.
