Character Traits (Personality): Caring, sweet young women that cares a lot about the people close to her and listens to problems when needed. Concerned and Observant from past experiences and has a curious side where she asks a lot of questions. Her personality reflects from her subjects being studied at University.
Function in Narrative: Joanne throughout the film is Greg's girlfriend soon to be wife, even though they are young. The film shows her weaknesses as her distant relative gets suspected for the murders due to past, whereas its actually her boyfriend which is unknown until the end scene. Even though Joanne doesn't appear in the film that often when she does, the scary, creepy atmosphere disappears as she is Greg's weakness and is always calm around her.
